Mauritius Tour 2012 information page

Blue Marlin FC are a well established and successful football club, having been formed in 1993, and indeed are recognised as the most successful and high profile Mauritian Football Club in the UK. Blue Marlin FC were also the first British based Mauritian football club to organise an official tour to Mauritius in 2001. In addition Blue Marlin FC are a fully affiliated member of the Football Association (London Division).

We look forward to touring Mauritius in June 2012, for a period of 10 days, which will include playing 3 matches against Mauritian Football clubs. Our last tour in 2001, was a great success both on and off the pitch, and was covered widely by both the Mauritian media both in Mauritius and the UK.

Having enjoyed the experience of touring Mauritius in 2001, and having been warmly received by the Mauritian Government, the MFA, opposing teams, and the media, we are very keen to repeat the experience, and maintain the contact with football in Mauritius and promote the Mauritian identity which our club actively promotes and is naturally very proud of.

The club aims to continue to grow while encouraging and developing young footballers both in the Mauritian and London community.

With continued support from the community and local sponsorship the club can continue to function effectively and provide a springboard for young footballers to excel at a very high standard. Football will continue to grow both in the profession game and at grass roots – therefore the potential exposure players, clubs and sponsors can gain is huge.
